Flag football Division 4: Blessed Trinity 21, Milton 20 (2OT)
Recap: Blessed Trinity (19-5) forced overtime on the final play of regulation and won the game in the second overtime on Addie Spak’s point-after conversion to capture the Titans’ second state championship in four years. Both titles came at the expense of north Fulton County rival Milton, and both were in double overtime (Blessed Trinity won 19-13 in 2022). After each team scored in the first overtime, Milton went ahead 20-14 on a 5-yard run by Carson McElroy but threw incomplete on the point-after attempt. Spak threw a touchdown pass to Hannah Daley to tie the game and then ran in the game-winning conversion. Milton (21-4) took the game’s first lead at 7-0 on a 23-yard pass from Audrey Jenson to Alana Calhoun with 4:10 left in regulation. After an exchange of interceptions, Blessed Trinity drove 56 yards in six plays, tying it on Maggie Sullivan’s 1-yard run on fourth down and Spak’s conversion pass to Chelsea Lewis with no time remaining. Spak was 20-or-34 passing for 160 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 24 yards.
