Flag Football Player of the Week: Lambert’s Abby Grace Flynt

Abby Grace Flynt, a senior running back, wide receiver and linebacker at Lambert, is GHSF Daily’s flag football player of the week. Flynt has 1,163 all-purpose yards, 25 touchdowns, 38 flag pulls and three interceptions, one returned for a score, for a 16-2 team this season. Flynt is a four-year starter who holds all school rushing and receiving records. “She’s an elite athlete who runs extremely well and has elite quickness,” Lambert coach Nate Richardson said. “She also has incredible instincts as our middle linebacker and does an incredible job making sure our defense is properly aligned and leading on a daily basis.” Lambert, the Division 4 runner-up last season, has won 15 consecutive games since a 1-2 start and is ranked No. 3 in Georgia in all classes by MaxPreps. Flynt also led Lambert to the Division 3 semifinals in lacrosse last spring. She has signed to play that sport at Xavier.
