Flag football Division 2: Greenbrier 20, Jenkins 13

Recap: Addisen Odom threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Abby Lester with five minutes remaining in the game to break a 13-13 tie and lead Greenbrier (22-3) to its third consecutive state championship. Greenbrier trailed 13-7 at halftime but scored twice in the second half while holding the Warriors scoreless. Odom threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Mamie Cate Pangle in the first quarter for a 6-0 lead, but Jenkins (22-2) answered with two touchdown passes from I’yama Lee, including a 73-yarder to A’Niyah Browner on the final play of the first half for a 13-6 halftime lead. Greenbrier pulled even midway through the third quarter when Carrington Meyers scored on a 1-yard run to cap off a three-play, 39-yard drive. Odom was 10-of-15 passing for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Pangle rushed for 23 yards and had three receptions for 50 yards. Aaliyah Silver caught four passes for 82 yards. Jenkins’ Lee passed for 175 yards and rushed for 38.
