Recap: Madalynn Cauley ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more as Harris County built a 25-0 in the first half, and the Tigers coasted to the first flag football championship in program history. Cauley’s 6-yard touchdown run less than four minutes into the game gave Harris County (24-3) the lead for good. She added a 4-yard run early in the second quarter, and had touchdown passes of 31 yards to Pearson Pettit and 3 yards to Aubrey Mertz for the 25-point halftime lead. Cauley connected with Mertz again in the third quarter on a 2-yard touchdown pass to complete the scoring. Cauley was 15-of-22 passing for 183 yards and ran for 54 yards on four carries, and Harris County finished with a 252-87 advantage in total offense. After being held to just 2 total yards in the first half, Washington County put together its best drive of the game to start the third quarter, moving 59 yards in 10 plays. However, the drive ended at the Harris County 7 when Pettit intercepted a pass. Harris County scored on the ensuing possession to put the game away.
