Week 8 Student-Athlete of the Week: Lowndes’ Ben Corhei

Ben Corhei, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound senior offensive lineman at Lowndes, has been named the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the Week. Corhei carries a 99.15 GPA. Lowndes is 7-0 overall, 2-0 in Region 1-6A and ranked No. 4 in Class 6A going into Friday night’s game against Camden County. Off the field, Corhei helps coach the Loco Raiders Youth Football Team and participates in the Shop with a Viking program during the holidays, exemplifying leadership and service. “Ben will be an early graduate and is committed to the University of South Florida,” said Steve Holley, Lowndes’ high school liaison and college recruiting coordinator. “He has a great drive in the weight room and on the grass.”
