Week 12 Team of the Week: Roswell

Roswell beat its archrival and won a region championship on a last-minute field goal last week. It's not clear which of those details was the most exciting in the moment.

“The most memorable big part was watching the refs put the sign up saying it’s good and hearing the crowd go crazy and everyone cheering,” said Balint Vorosmarty, the Roswell kicker who made the 48-yard field goal with 48 seconds left, giving Milton a lead of 41-39, the final score.

Despite a preseason top-10 ranking, Roswell was given only a 13.1% chance of winning Region 7-5A by the computer Maxwell Ratings. That was largely a function of region depth, as Milton and Gainesville have been in Class 5A's top five almost the entire season.

It was Roswell's seventh region title since 2015, but also the first since 2015 that included a victory over Milton.
