Quarterfinal Player of the Week: Kell’s Brayden Rouse

Kell was already one of the Georgia's best teams, and Brayden Rouse one of the nation's best players. Now, there's just no hiding those facts. Kell beat No. 2 Cartersville 48-21 in the Class 4A quarterfinals Friday.

Rouse, a top-100 national senior recruit committed to Tennessee, made a team-leading 12 tackles, intercepted a pass, caught four passes for 78 yards and scored two touchdowns. Also a punt returner, Rouse rarely leaves the field.

“Brayden is an incredible person first,” Kell coach Bobby May said. “He is one of the most disciplined, hardworking and focused players that I have ever coached. Combined with his exceptional talent, those qualities make him one of the best players in the country. On Friday, he showed that with a dominant performance playing all three phases.”

Kell moves on to play No. 1 Creekside in a rematch of the 2024 second-round game that Creekside won 42-35.

Rouse is GHSF Daily’s Player of the Week. The award is sponsored by Alfa Insurance.
