Four Florida schools cancel August games against Georgia opponents
Cedar Grove, Marist, Stephenson and Bainbridge had games canceled Thursday when their Miami-area opponents pulled out, leaving the Georgia schools scrambling to find replacements. The three-game Georgia vs. Florida Battle of the Borders, scheduled for Aug. 27 at DeKalb County’s Hallford Stadium, is off.

Tight end is Georgia’s most talented position this season
Georgia’s most talented football position this season is tight end, and it’s not even close. Seven tight ends are rated among Georgia’s top 25 players as seniors or juniors, according to the 247Sports Composite. All seven are four-star recruits and top-250 players nationally. By contrast, only two Georgia quarterbacks meet those criteria.
